Dan Gillmor, author of We the media, today announced the failure of his much-discussed citizen journalism venture, Bayosphere. His open letter on the lessons learned makes for fascinating reading. Next week (31/01/2006), Dan will joins others, including BBC Interactive's Pete Clifton, on the panel of the next Journalism Leaders Forum to discuss the impact of citizen journalism on the establishment - organisations, practitioners and the academy. The event, which is part of the residential week programme for the Journalism Leaders Programme at the University of Central Lancashire, will be Webcast live and it open to all.
